Moussaka with apples
Melt the butter and oil and finely chopped fried onion, peeled and diced apple and hot red pepper. Soak the bread-crumbs in milk. Stir the minced meat with onion and apple and fry for a minute. Drained strainer with bread-crumbs and add them in the minced meat. Add almonds, raisins, lemon juice and rind, egg, salt and pepper to taste. Pour mixture into baking dish. Press it firmly to the bottom and sides. Covering medium: Beat eggs with milk which is left of soaked bread crumbs and pour moussaka. Bake in moderate oven. Moussaka can be served with baked potatoes bark.
