Rice with pineapple
Melt oil in a saucepan, add chopped onions and ginger and fry for 5 minutes. Add cumin, coriander, black pepper, cinnamon and cardamom and fry 2 more minutes. Pour the rice and salt, pour in water to cover the rice – about 5 cm and cook 5 minutes. Pour milk. Put the lid on and continue to boil over low heat until rice becomes soft and fully absorb the water. Add the diced pineapple and cashew nuts.
