Description

Delicious homemade mozzarella sticks made crispy and golden in the air fryer. Perfect for snacking or as a party appetizer!


Ingredients

Egg Mixture:

  • 1 large egg

Breadcrumb Mixture:

  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs

Additional:

  • 8 whole milk (or low-fat) mozzarella sticks

Instructions

  1. Do the prep work: Line a rimmed baking sheet with wax paper. Lightly beat the egg in a wide, shallow bowl.
  2. Combine seasonings and breadcrumbs: Mix Italian seasoning, salt, and breadcrumbs in a second bowl.
  3. Coat and freeze mozzarella sticks: Dip sticks in egg, then breadcrumbs. Freeze for 1/2 to 1 hour.
  4. Coat and freeze again: Repeat coating process and freeze for another 1/2 to 1 hour.
  5. Air fry: Preheat air fryer to 390°F. Spray basket and sticks, air fry for 6-8 mins until golden.
  6. Serve: Let cool slightly and enjoy!

Notes

  • If freezing ahead, air fry at 360°F for 8-10 mins straight from the freezer.
