Delicious homemade mozzarella sticks made crispy and golden in the air fryer. Perfect for snacking or as a party appetizer!

Egg Mixture:
- 1 large egg
Breadcrumb Mixture:
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
Additional:
- 8 whole milk (or low-fat) mozzarella sticks
Instructions
- Do the prep work: Line a rimmed baking sheet with wax paper. Lightly beat the egg in a wide, shallow bowl.
- Combine seasonings and breadcrumbs: Mix Italian seasoning, salt, and breadcrumbs in a second bowl.
- Coat and freeze mozzarella sticks: Dip sticks in egg, then breadcrumbs. Freeze for 1/2 to 1 hour.
- Coat and freeze again: Repeat coating process and freeze for another 1/2 to 1 hour.
- Air fry: Preheat air fryer to 390°F. Spray basket and sticks, air fry for 6-8 mins until golden.
- Serve: Let cool slightly and enjoy!
Notes
- If freezing ahead, air fry at 360°F for 8-10 mins straight from the freezer.
