For the Sauce:
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 1 tsp jarred minced garlic
- 1 Tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup whole milk
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp pepper
For the Rest:
- 1 egg (slightly beaten)
- 1/8 cup Parmesan cheese (shredded)
- 1/4 cup ricotta cheese
- 4 oz uncooked pasta (any shape)
- 1/2 lb raw shrimp, thawed
- 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese (shredded)
- 1 tsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- In a saucepan, melt butter, add garlic and flour, cook until bubbly.
- Gradually stir in milk, broth, salt, and pepper, cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Mix beaten egg, Parmesan, and ricotta cheese in a bowl.
- Combine the broth mixture, cheese mixture, and pasta in a bowl.
- Pour the pasta mixture into two baking dishes.
- Layer shrimp over the pasta, add mozzarella and parsley.
- Bake for 30 minutes.
- Allow to cool for 5 minutes before serving.
Cook the pasta according to the package directions.
Notes
- I buy frozen shrimp to save prep time.
- Rinse pasta to cool it down for the sauce not to cook too early.
