Black Garlic Teriyaki Sauce:

  • 2 Black Garlic Cloves, whole
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 1/3 cup Soy Sauce
  • 1/4 tsp Sesame Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Ginger, fresh
  • 1 cup Water, cool +1 Tbsp Cornstarch
  • 2 Tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 1 Tbsp Honey

Instructions

  1. Blend Ingredients: Blend together black garlic, ginger, and 1/2 cup water until smooth, about 20 seconds.
  2. Cook Sauce: Transfer the blended mixture into a sauce pot. Add the remaining ingredients. Mix the cup of water with cornstarch separately before adding it to the pot.
  3. Simmer: Bring the mixture to a boil, then simmer for 15 minutes until the sauce thickens and can coat the back of a spoon.
  4. Serve: Remove from heat. Serve the sauce with meats, veggies, or noodles. Refrigerate any leftovers for later use.
