Description

A delightful and creamy Greek Yogurt Jello dessert that combines the tangy richness of Greek yogurt with the sweet, fruity flavor of strawberry gelatin. This easy-to-make, chilled treat is perfect for a light dessert or snack and can be customized with various toppings for added texture and flavor.

Ingredients

Scale

Gelatin Base

  • 1 box (6 oz) strawberry Jello gelatin (or your favorite flavor)
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup cold water

Dairy

  • 2 cups Greek Yogurt (whole milk preferred, vanilla or plain)

Toppings (Optional)

  • Whipped cream or Cool Whip whipped topping
  • Fresh strawberries for garnish

Instructions

  1. Dissolve Gelatin: In a large bowl, add the box of gelatin and pour in the boiling water. Stir continuously for around two minutes until the gelatin is completely dissolved.
  2. Combine Yogurt: Whisk in the Greek yogurt into the dissolved gelatin mixture until it is well combined and smooth.
  3. Add Cold Water: Pour in the cold water and give the mixture a slight stir to blend everything evenly.
  4. Transfer to Serving Dishes: Pour the mixture into 8 individual serving dishes (approximately 6 oz each) or into one medium serving bowl.
  5. Chill to Set: Cover the dishes and refrigerate for about 4 hours or overnight until the gelatin is fully set and firm.
  6. Serve with Toppings: Before serving, optionally top with whipped cream and fresh strawberries or your choice of garnish.
  7. Store Leftovers: Cover and refrigerate any leftovers for up to 5 days to maintain freshness.

Notes

  • You can use two 3 oz boxes of Jello instead of one 6 oz box; sugar-free Jello can also be used as a substitute for a lower-sugar version.
  • Whole milk Greek yogurt offers the creamiest texture, but plain or non-fat Greek yogurt can be substituted as preferred.
  • Alternative garnish options include sprinkles, chopped nuts, or fresh mint leaves for added flavor and visual appeal.
