This easy-to-make baked chicken is ideal for a quick weeknight dinner or meal prep.

Ingredients

Units Scale

Chicken:

  • 2 lbs. organic chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons On Everything All-Purpose Blend
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt

Homemade Hot Honey Sauce:

  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup organic raw honey
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • Pinch of sea salt

Instructions

  1. Prep + Season Chicken: In a large bowl, combine the chicken breasts with the extra virgin olive oil and the seasoning blend, including the smoked paprika and sea salt. Cut slits on each breast to allow the flavors to penetrate better, and marinate if desired for enhanced taste.
  2. Make the Hot Honey Sauce: Using a skillet over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant. Add the raw honey along with cayenne pepper, smoked paprika, red pepper flakes, garlic powder, chili powder, and a pinch of sea salt. Stir continuously and cook the mixture until it becomes smooth and well combined, forming a spicy, sweet sauce.
  3. Bake the Chicken: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil. Place the seasoned chicken breasts on the baking sheet and spoon the prepared hot honey sauce generously over each piece. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  4. Finish and Serve: Remove the baked chicken from the oven and allow it to cool slightly. Spoon on any remaining hot honey sauce over the chicken for extra flavor. Serve the chicken breasts alongside your favorite sides for a satisfying meal.
