These Spicy Baked Shrimp Balls are a delightful appetizer or main dish that packs a flavorful punch. Juicy shrimp combined with aromatic herbs and a hint of heat make these shrimp balls a crowd-pleaser.

Main Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 pounds shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil

Veggies:

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 shallots, chopped
  • 3 Thai chili peppers, seeded and chopped

Additional:

  • Juice of one lime
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/2 cup Panko bread crumbs
  • 2 green onions, chopped (green parts only)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Heat the oven to 350℉.
  2. Prepare Shrimp Mixture: Chop shrimp in a food processor. In a bowl, combine shrimp, egg whites, bread crumbs, green onion, cilantro, salt, and lime juice.
  3. Prepare Veggies: Sauté garlic, shallots, and chili peppers until translucent. Let cool.
  4. Combine Ingredients: Mix veggies into the shrimp mixture.
  5. Form Shrimp Balls: Shape mixture into 1-inch balls on a baking sheet sprayed with cooking spray.
  6. Bake: Bake for 15-17 minutes, then broil for 2 minutes until golden brown.
